This girl she came from a small town,
but her name you’ve forgotten a long time ago
She looked like any other girls who has the same taste,
or come from the same place
Back then she was a nobody,
until she slithered into your life, very ghostly
She followed you everywhere day after day, seduced your friends,
and she stole your ideas, hurt your feelings, one by one
She’s done nothing for herself,
just mess up everything for you by her dirty shitty hand
“SHITTY HAND”
This girl she came from a small town with her cheap leather boots and her bad eyeshadow
She looked like any other girls who has the same taste, or come from the same place
If you want to ask her any questions, she just answers you with a song
She wants to be somebody’s queen, just for one day
Said the small town girl
Said the small town girl
She spoke very slowly, and the lyrics seemed wrong out almost against her will
Said the small town girl
Said the small town girl
After a little while, she just take another hit and plays guitar
The sound as shit as her name “SHITTY HAND”
The sound as shit as her name “SHITTY HAND”
Tightly wound post-punk with splashes of new wave; heavy on twangy riffs, phased-out melodies, and understated vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 2, 2023
The great underlying instrumentation paired with Florence's droll stream of consciousness lyrics make this album stand out. It feels so personal and confessional. Favorite tracks are Strong Feelings and Leafy. I've heard Scratchard Lanyard on alt radio and love that one as well. tofupotpie
