Nouvelle 從廣州走來，帶有濕漉漉的珠江水汽味道，冷澀、迷離的合成器音色融合進極具張力的 Punk 鼓點之中，詩意地寫盡關於那些患得患失與不知所措相互糾纏的紛繁情感。繼2017年發行首張同名 EP 後，歷時4年再為我們獻上由楊海崧操刀製作的一張誠意滿滿的專輯《寶貝，不要太甜》。

身處於巨浪翻滾的時代中，「愛」已彌足珍貴，緊繃著的神經被潮水拍打，壓抑已久的情緒掩蓋在層層浪花之下。想在波濤中抓住那些即將失去的，亦想在浪花裏滌蕩掉逃不開的——這些無以名狀而紛繁往復的情感，如同 Nouvelle 一般，在「新」的浪潮中劍走偏鋒，直面某個時代的午夜夢回。這些藏在暗面中無可紓解的情緒，被 Nouvelle 以樂聲編纂成為《寶貝，不要太甜》。

他們歌頌著這個時代中難以泯滅的感情，歌頌著歇斯底裏的「求而不得」，那些關於理想、關於抗爭的一切，以吉他嘶鳴與爆裂鼓聲構築出夜行時撒下的磅礴大雨，濕冷地泛起心中的漣漪。而
常以第一人稱敘事的歌詞，從具體的「自我」投射至聽者的「自身」，很容易令人進入 Nouvelle 構築的世界之中。他們在聲音傳遞中架起一座座勾連情緒起伏的橋，將以「愛」為名的多維世界，傳遞至每一位聽眾的腦海。

而本張專輯以「主義者」開始，「受害者」為結束，不僅將專輯的完整敘事性上升至另一個層次，亦是將以自由為主的命題交由理想的靈魂去紓解。爛漫而繽紛的少年情懷，彈指間歸於粗糲而復古的聲波震動之中，打開聽眾的耳朵與遐思。

旋律、噪響交織，屬於 Nouvelle 的時間已至，那些語言無法留住的情感，交付給他們手中三大件碰撞出的旋律一一補全。
